Various people have posted in the forums that they have been told, by various sources, of a delay in the release of the Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade for the Loox 718/720. Having made enquiries I received confirmation today that, yes - the upgrade is indeed delayed until January 2006. This is an estimated date though no futher delay is anticipated.
It is unclear as to whether this will be a general release date for all language versions, or just for the English language version with other versions following on. No indication was given as to why the delay has occurred.
