Award-winning PocketTV lets you play any standard MPEG-1 file (extension .mpg) on your Pocket PC. You can create your own MPEG files or download thousands from the net.
This version will work on any Pocket PC Windows Mobile 5.0 and on most (but not all) Pocket PC 2003 and 2003 SE (you need ActiveSync 3.8 or 4.0 to install it).
If you have a Pocket PC 2000, 2002, 2003 or 2003 SE we recommend that you install using this other PocketTV Classic Setup file.
PocketTV Classic is now optimized to take advantage of video accelerator hardware (2700G, ATI) and can play in VGA resolution on VGA Pocket PC's (Axim x51v/x50v, iPaq hx4700, Toshiba e800).
Pocket PC, Handheld PC and Palm-size PC :
To install: Make sure that your device is connected to your PC (Open ActiveSync to check that the connection is active). Just run the PocketTV Setup file on your PC and follow the simple steps on your screen.
The PocketTV Setup file should be named something like PocketTVSetup[...].exe. If not, rename the file to PocketTVSetup.exe (this problem can happen with some versions of Internet Explorer).
Once you have installed PocketTV on a Pocket PC, you can click here to obtain the FREE key that will unlock your PocketTV (free keys are only for strictly personal use and available only for Pocket PC and WinCE 2.11 devices).

To upgrade: Just install the new version. You don't need to remove the old version of PocketTV, but make sure that it is NOT running (use Tools>Exit from PocketTV). Upgrades are always free. More on upgrades...
To un-install: Make sure that PocketTV is NOT running (use Tools>Exit from PocketTV), then select Setting, System, Remove Program (on your device).
You can easiely re-install PocketTV: In ActiveSync, select Tools then Add/Remove Programs. You don't need to keep the Setup file: the Add/Remove Programs software remembers all the applications that you have previously installed on your device!. When you re-install it, PocketTV will remember all your settings (including your key), so don't hesitate to remove it temporarily from your device if you are short in available Storage Memory.
