Hey guys, I hope I won't get in trouble for doing this but this is too good not to share!!!!

My e740 was as slow as a snail loading pages from the internet with my Active Sync connection. I just thought it was a problem with the proccessor!

NEWS FLASH: Try this to REALY speed things up! This is a quote from BH from the Pocket TV Team. I think anyone who owns an e740 should know this!

We have found the reason why our e740 was so slow:

The "Turbo" mode was disabled, i.e. the Xscale processor was running at only 200 MHz instead of 400 MHz!

I though the device would automatically reset to "Turbo" on a soft-reset. NOT!

Now that we have enabled the Turbo mode we get benchmarks results in line with toshtosh.

If your e740 seems slower than it should, check if "Turbo" mode is enabled:

Start "File Explorer", go in the Windows folder and tap on "apitest". Then tap on the "Turbo" button. It allows you to change the "Turbo" mode. Make sure it is enabled!

Note that "Turbo" is the only button that seem to actually do something in apitest. All the other buttons seem to do nothing.

I went in and set my Turbo to ON and this thing loads pages now like it was on a T1 connection!
