Thank you for contacting HP eServices.

In order to resolve the issue, we suggest that you perform a full reset and
then try to install the Windows Media Player from the Pocket PC 2002 CD.

NOTE: A full reset restarts the device and removes nearly all information
stored in RAM memory, including data files and system settings. A full reset
returns the unit to the factory defaults.
a) To back-up data on the CF card:
Tap Start->Programs-> CF Backup-> Backup-> ?tart?When you get a backup, you could go for a full reset.
If you don? have a CF card and want to back-up on to the Desktop, please use
Active Sync backup.

b) For an Active Sync backup follow the steps:

?Connect the iPAQ to Desktop PC and synchronize with it.
?When you have synchronized with the Desktop PC, click on the Tools tab on the
Active Sync window.
?Click on backup/restore tab and follow the steps.
The back up will be stored in Pocket_PC documents folder.
Here is how to do a full reset on the H3600:
?Slide the silver power switch cover to the right.
?Slide the power switch to the right
?Wait one minute then slide the power switch back to the left.
?The device will automatically restart.
?Follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard

After a hard reset you can back-up the data on to the iPAQ by restoring through
any of the process you have chosen.

Note: The Windows Media Player could only be installed from the CD and the
software is not available for download. The Windows Media Player 7.1 is not
compatible with the Pocket PC 2002 operating system iPAQ, you own.
